INVITATION for PROPOSALS to the ADVANCED COURSES COMMITTEE
The FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN BIOCHEMICAL SOCIETIES supports Advanced Lecture Courses covering all timely topics related to biochemistry and molecular biology. Hence, the Advanced Courses Committee invites proposals to organize such courses, especially courses with strong practical hands-on elements. Up to 38.000 € is available for the organisation of a Practical Course, and up to 32.000 € for the organisation of a Advanced Lecture Course. Special funds of up to 50.000 € (including a special grant for small equipment) are available to organise Practical Courses in Eastern Europe. Grants to a maximum of 50.000 € are available to support FEBS Special Meetings. Finally, FEBS Workshops on specialized topics of high scientific interest shall receive a maximum of 25.000 €. Youth Travel Funds (YTF) assist the attendance of young scientists (Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellows within five years of obtaining their PhD). All YTF recipients must be members of FEBS constituent or associated societies to be eligible. Importantly, additional funds are available to course organizers to support attendance of two African students at each FEBS course or workshop.

Applications for FEBS Special Meetings have to be submitted at least 18 month before the special meeting.
